Hi guys, hope you can help me. My dvd drive suddenly stopped burning DVDS/CDs and when playing it would stutter badly. Thinking the drive was toast, I bought a brand new drive but the same problem persists. I've run full spyware/virus programs and defragged the drive. The computer is clean and the cables are secure and I've run this script DMA reverts to PIO | Windows Problem Solver but nothing so far has made any difference. I've also tried changing the SATA cable and changed the SATA slot I don't know if it makes any difference but in my bios BIOS, under main I have the following Primary and secondary master/slave all set to none, and in their sub menu PIO mode, UDMA mode, Primary IDE master and access mode are set to auto Under SATA 3 (where the DVD drive is located) has Ex. IDE drive and access mode set to auto (where choices are auto or none) And HDD smart monitoring is disabled Can anyone suggest a solution? ANY help appreciated
