thanx RandYL, I had to adjust server settings for both programs. heh... Works fine now! :o) odd thing too because norton still won't allow me to enable POP for all/previous messages lol

After setting everything up as to what I was told on gmail's web sites and after successfully sending mail from 'Windows Mail' I got a message saying: Account: 'POP3', Server: 'pop.gmail.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR not supported 3pf300400pzk.24', Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC18 "check for new messages on 'POP3'" failed in 'Windows Mail' but I've received replys in my 'Windows Live Mail' account and it has recieved all previous messages. :confused: It seems redundant to me that my computer has to versions of 'outlooks' at all but I dont understand their inter-relations... If there isnt any perhaps I can just uninstall 'Windows Mail'?

For lack of a better word you could call me a newbie. The YouTube button is confusing... lol I found this site while searching for a dvdrom problem resolution thru google. Seems like a friendly enviroment:) Cheers!
