Hi All,
Very new here (in fact first day and first post). I am having issues with logging on to my PC. I bought the Pc from PC World a number of years ago and it suits my home needs perfectly. I operate Windows XP. However, on the system is a security site(??) called OmniPass. I have never registered and on usual boot up of my PC the request for authentication flashes up and then disappears and the PC continues to boot up correctly. However, yesterday this was not the case and it is now asking for user names, domains and passwords - items I do not have as I never registered the software. As a result of this my PC is not recognising my profile and issueing (for want of a better word) a temporary profile. Whilst I can still access certain areas of my PC - games etc, I am unable to access my full profile including Saved and working work documents, Photo's going back 2 years and iTunes applications amongst others.
Needless to say, I need help and advice. I wish to down load a programme called Perfect Uninstaller to remove the programme in question (OmniPass) as windows does not allow me to do this. However, I am concerned at what effect this will have on my PC and whether or not anything in my profile will be deleted - documents, photos etc. Neddless to say, I cannot afford to lose my profile and associated documents.
HELP !!!!!
Regards and best wishes to all
