Hi, Windows Vista has been very new to me so bare with me. OK, so the problem is that after i create a user, restart. When i access the new user, after it says preparing desktop. it just takes me to this blue screen with the windows classic theme. and nothing loads up. task manager starts up fine, and when i type explorer.exe i see it in the proccess list, but a second later it dissapear, and also the browse button does nothing. any help would be awesome? btw, vista clean setup would not be an option for me, but if its the only way, i might give an exception.

here is some info: Dell Inspiron 546 CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 215 Processor CPU Speed: 2.69 GHz Performance Rated at: 5.2455 GHz RAM: 2.0 GB OS: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic Edition, 32-bit (Build Service Pack 16001) Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 3450 Power: 300watts Slots: PCI-E (currently holding the graphic card) PCI (empty) PCI (empty) PCI (empty) i would like to upgrade so that my computer can run games like crysis, half life, halo... etc (mainly first person) in a suitable frame rate. i was thinking about getting the Saphire ATI Radeon HD 4000 series but im not sure if itll run in my computer. any suggestions would be awesome?
