vista freeze Thanks for your repy , but I can not open any window , if I click an icon the "not responding apppears " after about 2 or 3 minutes . Seems like screen is stuck

My daughter has a Fujitsu_Siemens Amilo LI2735 laptop using windows Vista and Centrino chip .This laptop is 18 months old . When loading the icons and windows appear to load but on clicking an icon nothing happerns . I have rebooted in safe mode and a scan check came up which I ran , but still the same . The only thing added by PC World 6 monthes ago was more memory . We dont have a restore discs , is there anything i cane do .
