I have an annoying virus that tries to copy itself into c:/ windows/ system32 Norton blocks it but i keep getting this pop up saying it has blocked it. The files name is cb7x.exe It's activity is: c:/ WINDOWS/system32/CebEx/ceb7x.exe

Strange My pc suddenly decided to work straight. I am seriously confused. All I did was uninstall my real player and back up some of my data just in case and then when I tried to shut it down it worked fine. Could anyone explain this? PS> Thank you all of the above who helped me.

I tried what you said but now instead of restarting i get a blue screen saying c000012a fatal system error and windows could not log on etc.. System restore does not work as when the pc restarts it says it failed due to a bad restart. I do not have roxio 5.0

My pc has xp running on it and a few day later it has been unable to shut down properly. When i try to shut down it goes to the blue screen, says it has saved my settings and is shutting down and then the screen goes blank for a second and it boots up again. Please help
