  1. Hi guys, this is probably fairly basic but I just want to make sure I don't make a mistake and cause a massive ammount of grief I have a desktop running two copies of win XP pro (don't ask) on my c and d drives. I want to uninstall the copy of xp on my d drive, then replace it with the copy of windows 7 i just bought(then if all goes well uninstall the copy of win xp on my c drive So my question is how do I completely remove the copy of windows xp on my d drive and all the programs, without affecting the copy of win xp on my c drive? Do I just delete d:/windows? Thanks, Sarah
  2. Ok, I'll go through those settings on my laptop when I get in from work and will see if it makes a difference
  3. Hi lads, hope this is the right place to sort this. Myself and my flatmate both have desktops and I have just bought a new laptop and they all connect fine to the internet from the one router, however we can't get the pc's to access each other. The desktops both run win xp professional nd the laptop is running the new windows 7 Their all on the same workgroup (called WORKGROUP) and it's set to a 'work' network on the laptop and they all show as attached to the router but can't seem to see each other. Several folders on all three computers are set up to share. I've done a few google searches and looked through this forum and a few others where people seem to have a similar problem but none of the posted solutions seem to work for me. Is there something I am missing? does anyone have any guesses? I am not that computer savvy so it's probably something irritatingly simple so please accept my apologies if I'm being dumb. Sarah xxx
