  1. Hi there. Just did what you said in the same order- graphics card out, uninstalled all, (and disabled the blighter on Control Panel), Rebooted to Bios and set it to PCI-E first. Shut it down and put card back in.... Monitor will not load up with the card! it will only "activate" (ie turn on at all) with the onboard port.. This cant be a dodgy Graphics card arleady, can it?! Someone mentioned possibility of it being too low power being kicked out by my pc, that cant be right, can it? Paul.
  2. Hi Guys. Im aware that im probably cringeworthy when it comes to PC's... Ive just had my brother build me a pc, but we're having an issue with the Graphics Card. Our system, has a built in Graphics Card, a Geforce 6100. But i've put in a Geforece GT220, as i had bought it for my now sadly departed old pc. The only issue is, the monitor and pc wont talk to it! I plug it in via the VGA slot, and nothing, the monitor reads no signal. I then remove it and plug it into the Tower's own VGA slot (inbuilt one) and voila it works! I have installed the driver's for the card, in the hope it would pick it up, nothing. I've tried to manually search- nothing. It finds the 6100, fine, but nothing else. I know ive not been pretty helpful from this end but if you need to know anything please ask and tell me how to check and I will do everything to help! I need this pc for my work from home, after a bike crash and so the sooner the better! (and i'll be so annoyed if its the Graphics card thats broke as its brand new!!!) Thanks and Regards Paul.
