  6. Hi all, great site. My problem is strange, My dad built me a pc a couple of years ago, not too sure on the spec etc, its a amd sempron running vista home basic. The problem is that if I press the power button I get nothing, no lights, no fan, nothing at all. I have found a way of getting it to power up but its complicated and time consuming and doesnt always work. Firstly I connect an old belkin wireless g router with the yellow modem wire connected to the pc and router, then after about 5-6 minutes when the modem light and the power light is on and the wireless and internet lights are flashing I remove the power lead at the back of the router and the pc comes on, sometimes I have to press the power button on the pc tower for it to work. ( I dont use the above router for my internet connection, its from when we was with virgin) This has been going on for months now but today I cant even get that method to work. Anybody any ideas?
