Format stalled & now monitor issues! Help!

I was formatting a hard drive and it was going way too slow! I turned the power off and changed both the DVD drive and the hard drive. Now when I turn the PC on I get nothing showing on the monitor! The monitor works fine though because I have tested it! Whats gone wrong?
