  1. Hello Can someone please help, One of my colleages clicked on fix on a problem his virus checker found and ever since windows XP will not boot. All I get is the delightful blue screen with the msg : C0000135 User 32.Dll not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem. It will not even boot in Safe Mode. I have entered the recovery console through the XP installation cd. I have tried a process I have found on the web below website for XP crash recovery below :http://www.digitalwebcast.com/articles/viewarticle.jsp?id=8658 Entered into Recovery Console : md tmp copy C:\windows\system32\config\system C:\windows\tmp\system.bak copy C:\windows\system32\config\software C:\windows\tmp\software.bak copy C:\windows\system32\config\sam C:\windows\tmp\sam.bak copy C:\windows\system32\config\security C:\windows\tmp\security.bak copy C:\windows\system32\config\default C:\windows\tmp\default.bak delete C:\windows\system32\config\system delete C:\windows\system32\config\software delete C:\windows\system32\config\Sam delete C:\windows\system32\config\security delete C:\windows\system32\config\default copy C:\windows\repair\system C:\windows\system32\config\system copy C:\windows\repair\software C:\windows\system32\config\software copy C:\windows\repair\sam C:\windows\system32\config\sam copy C:\windows\repair\security C:\windows\system32\config\security copy C:\windows\repair\default C:\windows\system32\config\default The only problem is the below command would not be accepted dont know why : copy C:\windows\repair\system C:\windows\system32\config\system I now realise that this was probably the wron way to go about fixing the problem! Now of course when I boot the system get notification that this file is missing..great. So Im stuck here and dont really know what to do next. I know that a clean installation would be the easy solution but there is important info I really dont want to lose. Many Thanks to whoever reads this, Brian
  2. I have an old Fujistu pc. Recently when i went to switch it on it started booting up but 3-4 seconds later just switched itself off. The only way I can keep it on is if I remove both RAM cards, so I know the PSU must be ok but Im reluctant to think both cards have failed so my next guess is the motherboard. Anyone have any ideas. Thanks
