yeh i done this a second time deleted the partition created new one haveing to format drive.. etc... wuldnt know how to solve the power issue one.. but a while back i did have a cmos checksum error... not sure why but leaving the pc on jus by plug stopped tht happening ahhh thats not fair im in the same household and paid good money for it.. :( damn bill gates. have an amd processor lol .... hmmm my m8 reconned tht fuse culda gone on the circuitbord or sumin like that ..... sorry for my slang

because of so much crap built up... and was going slow etc.etc sum things wuldnt b removed properly.. wanted a fresh start... i can enter bios and tht and do everything as normal.. it shuts down but doesnt turn off.. weird... and restrt sleep dont work.... erm i think so... erm i load defults save and exit,, then the computer doesnt load... cos i have to enable the "nvidia raid settings" erm dunno if that helps its oem disk i hav used it on another few computers . yeh ... using the same code it came with... and its worked fine on those computers i dont have the shutdown problem... well i did on my dads old pc it had this same problem but jus installed it on his new pc and it works fine ( except im having trouble gettin the sound driver for his comp) thts a dif story not as difficult as this hope this info helps you or any1 else

erm i think so. but i reformatted another computer and tht shuts down fine... and its not updates :mad: this is a real annoyance

the story begins... i go to reformat my pc ... windows xp disk in clear partition format ard drvie. then install xp. wen it gets to finishing i find out tht when i try to restart my pc it will not restart . the "windows shutting down screen" disapears like normal then it jus does nothing stays humming away as if its still on ... same with shutting down or tring to put it into sleep./... jus doesnt actuly stop the harddrives/ fans the actul unit wont shut down ... have no idea whts gone wrong...
