could anybody help please i have just been given a gateway laptop.but seems to be running very slow here are the specs if thats any help...... Processor: AMD Sempron™ Processor 3400+(1.8GHz, 256KB L2 cache, HyperTransport™ technology @ up to 1600MHz) Windows Vista Home Monitor: 14.1" widescreen Ultrabright™ WXGA TFT (1280x800) Chipset: NVIDIA® C51MV Memory: 2gig 667MHz DDR2[max] Hard Drive: 60GB 4200rpm PATA hard drive Video: NVIDIA® GeForce® Go 6100 Up to 256MB Turbocache™ could this machine take a bigger processer or the fact that its a sempron not make any diffrence anyway? any helpfull advice would be most appreciated as i dont no whether to spend any money on it...

just to clarify things tooteck i have allready used the uninstall[from symantec] to uninstall norton which seemed to work fine so did'nt see the need to use anything else but at the end of the day it wont do any harm to try what armageddon recommended, i just assumed it couldn't be that..

hi folks just joined and your forum looks fab........ i have a probllem . i have just installed my internet security[norton]installed and updated fine but when i reboot machine and into windows i can no longer acsess the program and am told to reinstall again i can no longer use the shortcut on my desktop[this program is no longer acssesable] and has dissapeard from taskbar. i am assuming its still there or machine would be running slow with all sorts on it. i am lost, i paid for something which does not work properly. i have not changed any settings before i installed, i dont use bit locker either any help would be most appreciated i use vista home premium if thats of any help. Thankyou......
