Hi all, I decided to restore my Packard Bell Imedia 5009 (XP Home) to factory settings using the 4 recovery cds that came with it 6 years ago. The recovery program started but when it was going through Bios checks it stopped saying "invalid media type reading drive c" After reading some other problems of a similar nature I used the fdisk program on the master recovery disc to create new primary dos partition then formatted c: The same problem is still coming up saying "invalid media type reading drive c" Please help, I don't know whether I need to buy a new hard drive, operating system but I just want to get it working again!!!
