  1. Solved Ya, I'm stupid. I assumed that since I could just drag and drop with Linux, I could with XP too. Never dawned on me I needed additional software. Oh well, nothing wrong with the DVD burner. I just used Nero and made a DVD, no problem. Thanks
  2. I have a Compaq Presario F700 that I "rolled back" to Windows XP. (Actually I ran Linux for quite a while, then went to XP for reasons too long to explain.) Now I can read and write CDs and read DVDs, but not write them. (Note drive wrote DVDs just fine under Linux) I assume I need a different driver, but everything I find seems to deal with problems under Vista. My drive is identified as: HL-DT-STDVDRAM GSA-T20L ( NC08) Thanks! (I originally posted this as a reply to another thread - SORRY! (I'm a newbie to this forum)
