  1. Hi guys, my usb is running of mains and also connects to the computer with a single usb lead :p i think i made the backup when i first got my laptop so i dont think thats anything to do with my HDD. not sure if it was encypted, maybe? would this change anything? think i may just have to take it to the shop, all this technology baffles my mind x:o

  3. Hi there, I was wondering if anyone could help me with this, i'll try to be as quick as possible:) So I bought an external hard drive a while back to store my family photos on etc as this was all fine untill the usb port became detatched :( I then went to see my local computer supplier and they said the best thing for me to do was buy a new caddy for the device.....so i did, hurray, but no....more problems From what i have read on forums everything connecting my hard drive to the new caddy is connected correctly and the power is working. When i plug it into my laptop it makes that little noise to say that yes it is connected but it doesnt show up in my computer or anywhere for that matter. it is a dynamode 3.5 sata is that makes any difference and my OS is Windows 7. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys :) M x
