hard drive ok have sourced new mobo now waiting for postman!

it came down the telephone line which I didn't have protected & also down the satellite coax cable.

sorry, tried new psu as thought old one fried but new gives same result .

Hi, please help ,not sure if posted in rigt place, our house got struck by lightning which took out lnb, digibox, phones and pc. I am trying to fix the pc and have put in a new psu. The mobo is an asus A7N8X-X. When I switch my pc on ,the fan on top of the cpu spins as well as the fan in the psu for about 2 seconds and then stops. The light on the start button remains on but nothing happens. To try again I have to disconnect the mains power cable and reconnect and exactly the same thing happens each time. The green light stays on on the mobo while the mains power cable is connected. Any ideas please regards dc
