i'm actually at work asking these questions....so not online on my PC as you can guess at its not working :-) when i get home....if i can get into safe mode using F8....then what do i do?

Not a silly question, yes I have taken the Disc out of the machine...... :-)

Good afternoon everyone, i an new to this delightful site and well just want to say hello, if I'm posting "stuff" where i shouldnt please be gentle on me....never done this before. I do however could do with help when it comes to fixing my PC and all help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :)

Can anyone please help me fix my poor sick computer? I have re-installed Windows XP due to microsoft upgrade crashing it originally! now it just wont work, it looks like its going to boot up as normal but end up with a black screen:(
