Alright I think this goes in here as it's more hardware than networking related :)
I rebooted my PC about twenty minutes ago and then when I signed back on my wireless adaptor was no longer displayed in network connections and the little wireless image was gone from the system tray & my internet would not work. I tried numerous uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them & also rebooting and it finally started to work, well the internet did anyway. I can now browse the web etc, but my wireless adaptor is still not displayed in network connections or the system tray which makes it sort of hard to change IP etc :/
I'm currently on XP and using http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=179211 adaptor. It isn't the adaptor as i've tried it with my brothers too and I get the same results.
Any ideas? :( Thanks all!
EDIT: Okay so I was advised to uninstall the wireless hardware from my system and then do a disk check & then reinstall. I did all that, and now i'm back at square one :/ on my brothers PC right now. It acknowledges the hardware is there in some programs but in others it doesn't and it still isn't appearing on my network connections list. Belkin has a standalone program which I don't use but i've turned it on now, it recognises the hardware is there but the system won't accept any connections such as my router, and by accept I mean even show that they're there :/
