  1. I don't mean to seem inpatient is just I need my PC for work, when I say it is getting more frequent as time go's on .I just mean that it is getting worse . I would be prepared to spend money to get it fixed if it is not more than the pc is worth it is a old PC 4 years lol. to some one over than me ant worth much maybe £80-£100 so I would pay £40-£50 if that would do the job but any more than that I would buy a new PC. But I have no clue as to what the cost would be if I just had it looked at by a pro. Thanks for all your help

I Have disconnected all hardware LIKE PRINTER CD'Rom GRAPHICS CARD and swapped RAM but still it crashes. Could this be a motherboard problem and if so would it be worth getting it fixed as PC is 4 year's old

  6. I am working on it and it stands by or cuts out I looked in Control Pane power settings and it was set to Hibernate after 20'm stand by was not set so I disabled Hibernate. is this 0k?
  7. I have dune the (chkdsk) Should this fix the prob or give me a report when it finished it told me nothing no report is that right? The last time I updated my RAM was over a year ago 1GB RAM DDR was added thanks for help hope it works will let you know ;0)
  8. Hi when I tern on my PC it starts OK but after a bit it shuts down :mad: like it as go on standby so it is still running but I CAN NOT do anything with it . I have to tern it off by the power switch and tern it back on again and then same thing again. I have had a new HDD in for about 5 months so I try going back to my old one and same thing again . any clue what this is I am stuck:confused: I'm Running windows XP Home Service pack 3 AMD Athlon3000+ 2.16GHz 1.50GB of ram thanks ppl:)
