Hello I have bought a new laptop and i now want to restore my old one to factory settings to give to a family member, however i need to copy all my folders and my emails contacts and inbox etc etc from microsoft outlook the transfer them all to my new laptop when i boot up micorsoft outlook. im quite a novice at this and im asking if you could tell me how to do it in the most basic terms thank you (i run XP and my micorsoft outlook is 2003 on windows office professional 2003)

Hello I wonder if you can help me and whether i can explain this properly When i type a sentence obviously normally the sentence would just appear from left to right as i type, however for no reason my sentence gets disrupted by my sentence then re starting wherever my mouse cursor might be thus messing up my sentence completely. Plus if i am writing a new email on outlook, if the mouse cursor is hovering over the send button whilst writing my email, suddenly it may just send with out me finishing my email. its very annoying can you please help thanks Boo

Hello I have a dvd camcorder which nicely records straight to the mini 3 inch discs that i can then put straight into my computer and play However i want to save the dvd footage to my pc so i can either edit it and then place the footage onto You Tube is there a decent transfer programme that i can use that will be compatible with windows movie maker plus that will not reduce the quality of the dvd footage? i didnt gt a manual, again most that i have seen these days do not have a disc or manual

its showing my main drive like this HDD C - Partition - Basic - NTFS - Healthy System - 149 GB -

how do i do that please, thats what i think i used on the lapdtop i bought

what i dont understand is that you dont get a disc with them anymore, i didnt on my last desktop or my laptop and with this laptop i havent either - ridiculous

but with my lap top i was told to press F10 on boot up and it was fine but my desk top doesnt do that

oh and when i mean it switches off it switches off and restarts without me doing anything, this happens nine times out of ten not every time but its very annoying :-)

sorry yes thats the word CMOS. Its Packard Bell and im running Windows XP with microsoft professional would the battery be the factor for both issues? the time etc and the switiching off after ten mins?

Hello these two faults may be related or seperate i dont know Everytime i turn my PC on it says (if i can remember as im on my laptop now) DSS settings not set or correct and time setting not set, so when my front screen boots up everytime i have to set the time and date. the second issue is that nine times out of ten after ten mins my pc decides to re boot all on its own, which means i lose any data i was working on any advice most welcome thanks

Hello ive have recently been given a laptop and i attempted to recvover it back to its original state but half way through it sais the recovery disc has an error and i have tried it many times and it wont work problem is ive wiped everythngi so when i reboot it comes up cannot find any boot up files or anythnig because ive wiped them in the half done recovery process can you please advise Thankyou
