hi yes thats correct had win 7 on it i used the win 8 rescue disc by mistake so got win 8 on it now need to revert if i can.

Ran rescue disc after pc wouldnt start however used wrong one and ran 8 by mistake, what i thought was backed up isn't have i lost it all or is it still there somewhere? if so how do i retreave it? thx in advance

Sorry to bother you with something that is prob so basic but can i stop MSN launching when i boot pc. Done it through msconfig but it adds back to the list once i've used it. Thx ....

just been deleating things and running much much better since deleating mozilla activex control, but still not 100%

Yes got it new with vista preloaded

Done all the checks everything came back ok. However an example of the problem was while malwarebyte was running it kept freezing the page every 30 secs or so for around a minute then it would carry on. No noticeable extra cpu usage or mem usage at the time .

Hi guys Running an Acer M3640 Spec is :Q6600 2.4 GHz 3071 Ram Geforce 8600 GS Vista Seems to be running on its limit although i have no big programmes running ,ie keeps freezing for 20 secs then will run ok again. Often just opening doc it will come up not responding for 20 secs or so before dropping ok again. Run superspyware and no problem there. In TM at rest it uses 1 GB of mem with biggest app running been dwn.exe at 45 k next explorer at 20k rest in single figures. Thx in advance Dave ...

Tried that no joy could it be the processor ?

My PC keeps shuting down during boot up. It stops for a while then attemps to reboot if it does manage to boot up completely it only goes for a while then shuts down again.Tried a different hard drive and it does the same so dont think its a virus. Fans working ok its not overheating. Anyone got any ideas
