  1. G'day Dalo and thanks, I have Microsoft Office Student & Teacher Edition 2003 which I bought with the PC from a high street retailer, so am confident it is legitimate. Chris
  2. DSTM, Thanks, will get on with that now. Cheers! Chris
  3. Hi DSTM, Thanks for the welcome and the advice. The camcorder files I downloaded are the only copies I have. I erased them from the camera once they were downloaded. Seems I have dug quite a large hole for myself. Is it feasable to try a system restore without deleting the files? Another silly question. How do I start a system restore? I've heard there's light at the end of the tunnel, but you know, this one just seems to be getting darker. Cheers! Chris
  4. G'day fellow sufferers and saviours, I have downloaded my new camcorder files onto the Sony pmb software on my pc. When I tried to copy them onto a DVD the programme informed me that I needed to download 'Microfoft Image Mastering API for Windows XP'. It then very kindly connected me to the Microsoft site where I followed the instuctions by clicking continue. At this point Internet Explorer closed down the internet saying 'a malfunctioning or malicious add-on has caused internet explorer to close'. Now have no idea what to do. I am protected by Norton, am running on Windows XP and assume the PC is OK. Any suggestions. Chris
