  1. Hi Guys - I've tried disabling Norton - no luck. I've also checked the workgroup - both are MSHOME. The laptop connects fine when using an ethernet cable - I just canot get it to connect fully on wireless. Should I be ble to ping the Belkin from the host PC? I have tied pinging it using the IP address as well as the PC name - nothing! From the host PC, I am able to ping all the other PC's connected on cable. Does this information help in getting any closer? Regards Kevin
  2. Please can you assist me with my small problem? I want to connect 2 laptops (wirelessly) to an SMC wireless outer (hosted on a desktop). Encryption is WEP. All the PC’s have Win XP Pro - (SP2). The laptops have a Belkin and VIA wireless network cards. The host PC runs Norton. Current scenario: I am able to get the laptops to radio-connect – but they cannot see any shared files or printers, as well as connect to the web or email. The laptops are able to connect via hard-wire Ethernet cables. So – when going into the respective utility menus, I can see the signal strength, and all other respective data. TCP/IP on the host PC is manually configured. TCP/IP for the router connected to the host PC is also manually configured - default values. Please can you shed some light on what the most likely cause is? I am able to provide more info if needed. Many thanks Kevin
