  2. hi new to this excellent website which i came across whilst trying to sort out a problem i have. i am in Bradford West Yorkshire and my computer knowledge is nil, and i hope somebody can help me out or point me in the right direction. i am having a problem with my home broadband. Telphone provider is BT and ISP is AOL. 2 weeks ago my broadband stop working out of the blue. after speaking to AOL and BT who just kept blaming each other it was decided that my Netgear Router had packed up and AOL agreed to send out a new one. New D-Link router, cables and filters arrived plugged it in to set it up and low and behold having the same problem can not get onto the internet. with both the phone and router plugged into the filter then the socket our home phone becomes engaged, unplug the router from the filter and we get a dialing tone on the phone. BT are saying this is not there problem as the phone works without the router plugged and AOL keep saying it is a BT problem. has anybody else expericanced this sort of problem and how was it resolved. Kind Regards Phil
