  1. Hi all, I dont really know where to start- I think I got a bad virus yesterday, an antivirus kept telling me I had 29 infections and there was no link to remove these with my free antivirus- the only way to remove these was to register and pay $60 dollars I guess for the propery antivirus package. This virus totally took over i could not do much without messages popping up telling me about a threat. I noticed that i also had avast free antivirus installed- i did several scans on this expecting it to show 29 infections also which it did not there was one thing found, I did a boot scan which deleted a lot of things. Now my problem is i think the boot scan deleted too much as i cant do nothing on the pc, there is no antivirus now so i do not know if the virus has gone or if im still infected but unaware. I tried to download avg free which it will not do, I wanted to creat a new profile account on the control panel and I cant, i literally cannot do anything apart from surf the web, everything i try brings an error message saying 'Application not found'. Any suggestions greatly welcomed, right now I think a heavy hammer seems a good idea! thanks for reading
  2. Hi everyone, I got a HP d530, its one of those small desktop pcs, everytime I turn it on i get a message telling me that its not holding time. I have found out that it means it could be the battery, i opened the case but cannot locate the battery knowwhere, does any one know where the batteries on this specific pc are located. Also if I have had this problem now for over a year, would that suggest to you that its a more serious problem than just the battery, because would a battery not have run totally dead by now thanks for reading
  3. Im positive my pc is filled with viruses, I got a free AVG anti virus which says my pc is clear but I heard someone saying free AVG is useless, is there anything else on a pc anyway or a safe website that can tell me what viruses I have please, thanks
