i am installing xp, original machine was vista but i dont have a copy of that

In advanced i do not have these options, only to boot from external or network

sony vaio laptop vgn-nr21j I have fitted a new sata hard drive, load the windows disk and it comes up with error no hard drive found. Any ideas?? many thanks

I have done that and no good. now installing xp sp3.

I have sp2 I cant download/update driver from control panel device manager as there is no device detected thanks again for all the help

Hi, I have a sony vaio vpcw11s1e and have just fitted a new hard drive. I installed windows xp and then downloaded the drivers from the sony web site. my problem is that i have no sound, there is no sound device being found. Please help and many thanks in advance.
