  1. Hey! I noticed my computer makes a regular loading sound, and the led blips indicating that there is activity. This happens in complete synchronization, every second on the second. You could sync your second hand to it. So I checked Task Manager and discovered that services.exe was in synchronization with this blipping/loading, and using precious processor power in the process. It jumps from 0-25% every second. I've had enough of it! I've narrowed it down by methodically shutting down start-up services, and as best as I can figure, its the 'plug and play' service, that when toggled on and of causes the interference to occur respectively. I tried to 'run' service.exe but nothing happens at all. I've updated all the drivers freeware and manual searching allows me to download, ive run pretty much ever possible scan under the sun, but this sucker remains taunting me with its incessant tic! Please help! Im running windows XP under a celeron processor 2.6 Ghz Only 256 mb RAM but the system shouldn't demand that much. Heres a Hijackthis log if it helps.
