Hi all, I am just playing around with access 2007. But i am struggling now. I am looking to add a very simple search box to my form. All i want it to do is to search an Auto number Field. This Field is my Primary Key aswell. I am very new to Access so as basic instruction as possible would be nice. Thanks in advance

I'm using Windows XP Home. Mozilla Firefox. I'm unable to access files in My Documents, and I can't even get Control Panel in order to do a System Restore. I can get online OK, but can't work offline. Each time I switch off, the PC installs 4 updates. It seems odd to have 4 updates each time. When I click on My Documents , the cursor turns for a moment into an hourglass then I get nothing. I use Windows Tak Manager to log off, but when I log back on, all I can do is go online. can I somehow use Task Manager to get Control Panel, and then I can do System Restore. Or should I use my recovery cd. I've forgotten how. Any ideas will be appreciated.

IT system administrators will be extremely busy this month, with Microsoft announcing it is prepping 12 security fixes for its next Patch Tuesday release – seven of which are labeled as “critical” and have the potential to allow remote code execution. Four of the seven critical updates address vulnerabilities in Access, Excel and PowerPoint, while the remaining three target Windows, Internet Explorer and Media Player 11. The five less serious “important” flaws cover vulnerabilities in Windows, Outlook Express and Windows Messenger. As usual, Microsoft divulged very little about each update, limiting the disclosure to naming the affected software and describing only in general terms the nature of the bugs. Starting October, however, the company will take a major shift in its security strategy by giving security vendors earlier access to technical details of it's monthly security patches for them to get ahead of attackers.
