As stated I am totally clueless about pc's hoping this belongs here. Since I returned from a trip to denmark and installed windows 7 onto my PC i've had nothing but problems. I play World of warcraft and since I returned it's been playing with 1fps and 5fps if i'm lucky, while I was away my sister took it upon herself to vacuum my pc god alone knows and last night I reseated the RAM, this seemed to provide a temporary fix and everything retured to normal, then earlier I entered an instance and I was being disconnected from the game constantly with 3fps and now it's totally unplayable it's almost like someone has the game attached to an elastic band and its pulling it so i freeze for 1-2seconds then releases it. I've read this could be a ram issue, currently running 3gb but I just wanted to get other opinions on the situation. I'm experiencing problems outside of games as well, msn messenger for example keeps crashing if I tab onto it. Any help is appreciated, thank you! Kat

I recently had to re-format and re install xp. All went well and i now have a working computer, however when viewing windows of any kind not just internet pages, both the sliding bar on the right of my screen and especially the scroll wheel on my mouse are painfully slow. I have adjusted all the settings i know how to but it has not improved at all. All the drivers say they are working correctly, but it seems the whole page scrolls down one line at a time as if i was still on dial up. Any ideas guys?

Hi I purchased a Desktop PC Online. The spec is as listed below. I am using Vista 64Bit OS Service Pack 1. Prior to service pack 1 coming out I encountered some problems with the pc such as constant bleeping & a blank screen. If the computer did load up past the Asus mobo screen logo the computer would sudenly crash and I would have to reboot to get it to work. After a while I failed in getting the computer to load up at all. I did some research on the net & forum after forum suggested that the power supply was the culprit. The power supply That which was bundled with the computer was a Winpower 420 watt thingy which was what was wrong all along. I ordered a Cooler Master RS 850 ESBA 850 watt Modular Power supply. I got it installed but problems were still there. The PC still did not load the bios or the OS. Prior to all of this the My rating on Vista 64 Bit was 5 when the pc was working but when I encountered my problems which were my fault as I was fiddling around with Vista & noticed that there was a folder stating Windows Old so like a fool I deleted It without knowing what it was. Everything went wrong after that such as the PC crashing all the time and a constant bleepimg sound. My graphics cards rating dropped after a while from 5 on Vista 64BIT to 1.0 and as a result of this my Vista rating is 1.0 unrated. I have had the computer sent back to the shop they resetted the PC so now it actually works and it never crashes. Should have had a better quality power supply from the beggining & not started fiddling about. But the Graphics score is annoying me now because its still showing as 1 even when new drivers are downloaded from both the Nvidia and windows update site for the graphics card. I have all the driver discs for the mobo & the graphics card but after installation nothing changes my Vista rating. I have tested the Video card with medal of honour allied assualt with all the settings on high and the game & card worked fine with no problems. I also tested playback of a dvd & still no problems. After the latest Graphics card driver download I received 3 error messages stating that RUNDLL ERROR IN NVCPL.DLL MISSING ENTRY: NVCPL RESTORE PERSISTENCE. I know this error message is associated with the Nvidia Control Panel but how can it be that even after installing all the drivers over and over again I cant seem to rectify the problem.
