windows 10 Mouse selection box appearing after renaming file

Hello, When i rename a file and i click to the side to finish. After a moments pause as its saving the file name. A selection box appears between where i clicked off and where the mouse currently is, as if i was was holding down the mouse button but i'm not. The selection box will go away after i click again. Using Wireless Logitech mouse. Same issue if i use left or right mouse button. No issue if i press tab first then click elsewhere. Mouse button is definitely not getting stuck. Hello, I've been getting bluescreens for a while now, only now I decided to do something against it though. Since the error messages I've been getting kept changing I suspected the ram. I ran memtest for around 22h with 9 passes without a single error, so I doubt it's the ram. I tried to update all drivers too, but that didn't fix it. This happened after i tried to install something by opening a patch exe file. The installment itself did not work because the patch file turned out can't be opened. I know shame of me for doing this but please do help. Other than this, nothing really happens, so i dont think any serious thing happened. But it does get really annoying. My question: What are the possible reasons for this to happen? And what are the solutions? ps. I already tried malware programs, antivirus scan and sfc /scannow. Nothing works. Guys i want to ask this question i updated my laptop windows 10 yesterday and right now there is an icon that saying that my windows version will ends soon and i must update it to stay supported but when i go to settings and update and security it was annoying. when i click check for update it's saying that you are alredy updated so why the icon still on my laptop and even still saying i must update my windows 10 laptop. what should i do? i restarted this laptop 3 times yesterday and i also run the troubleshooter and then restart it again but it doesn't work. Hello! so, recently, I have tried updating my laptop's bios because the fans do not seem to be working accordingly sometimes. but when I try to update it, this error shows up: error 255 tdk library initialization failed I think that this means that the registry files are either corrupted or have been changed. the problem is that I think that I was the one who changed them. Because I wanted to control my laptop's power settings, I delved into the registry and changed a few D - word files, and the options popped up. it was only like 5 or 10 things, but the thing is that there are also stuff that I did not change, so I'm not sure what I changed and what I didn't. also, when I ran the windows system repairer, this message came up: windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. for online repairs, details are included in the cbs log file located at windir\logs\cbs\cbs.log. for example c:\windows\logs\cbs\cbs.log. for offline repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /offlogfile flag. I had a problem where my microphone randomly switched audio device from "USB Audio Device" to "USB Microphone" both drivers still worked but Windows defaulted to "USB Microphone" which had a significantly lower quality according to my friends on Discord. This problem didn't seem to bad as I could just easily switch the audio device. Then, one day "USB Audio Device" stopped working outright. I uninstalled "USB Microphone" in an attempt to remove any interference, and reinstalled "USB Audio Device", but now my microphone does not work at all, no drivers seem to receive any audio from the device. You can't turn your back on Windows for a minute without it slipping in another update you've been trying to put off. Then you spend hours fixing things a simple update shouldn't break only to find out days later that it has been secretly deleting files or running your SSDs into the scrap bin. We shouldn't have to be terrified every time a new update shows up. We should be happy that things will get better. Instead, we have to dread the coming chaos and potential destruction. So now that Windows has managed to get around me and install this latest disaster, how long before I start getting the BSoD or having smoke come out of my case? Continue reading...

windows 10 Static noise playing when sound is played

For a while now, whenever I plug headphones in my Alienware laptop's headphone jack, my headphones will randomly start playing static noise whenever I play any audio. When the audio stops being played completely the static just stops and I hear a popping sound. When I plug in my headphones it'll work fine for a while, but the static will play after 10 or so minutes. I got a USB to headphone jack converter and that works okay without any issues, but the sound quality is considerably worse. I tried everything from messing with the sound settings, uninstalling the USB drivers, and cleaning the port but the issue persists. Any ideas? Continue reading... -

The webcam has been working fine for the last 2 months, my pc detected the webcam and it has been working properly. But in the last few days, it appeared as "SunplusIT PC Camera" on startup, when it was supposed to be "NYK NEMESIS". It is a USB camera. The first time it happended i tried unplugging and plugging it again. And it worked. Then on the next day it didnt worked. Unplugging and plugging it again to the same port didnt worked. Then i tried plugging it into a different USB port and it worked. Then same thing happended and i tried replugging and plugging it again. I need help, I was doing a disk check on my laptop (Asus X453S) and suddenly my laptop shutdown, and started the disk check again, but it restarted again, the third time it happened i canceled the disk check because im afraid of corruption of the files, but because of that, i found out that my files become corrupted. I searched how to fix it. I tried using the sfc /scannow command and it wont work, it said something like windows cannot perform the requested action. I tried booting my laptop in safemode and run sfc scan but still it said something like, it found corrupted files but couldn't perform the action. So i tried the DISM command to try to fix the corrupted files but it just says error: 1392 "the file or directory is corrupted...". I tried using system restore but it wont let me because it says the disk C: has error. I feel hopeless and I am now currently resetting my pc. Is this a good call? i need any tips to fix my problems. Hi Microsoft team, I have received a brand new Lenovo laptop for work and have experienced frequent stop codes driver_irql_not_less_or_equal and then the computer will reset. I thought the it was an app I downloaded for work so I factory reset the computer just to have the code pop up immediately after it finished. After a day of fighting this code, I gave in and swapped out my computer. But guess what? Same thing is happening. Is this possible it has something to do with my wireless router (only commonality I can think of? Most of the time the computer works fine while it is connected to power cord, but as soon as it comes off, it will reset within 5 minutes.
