:confused: I use a laptop for work which is running windows 7 pro and office 2010 at work I connect to the network our server is running server exchange 2003 no problem getting emails from outlook, when working from home I connect to the work network through a vpn connection when trying to use outlook it says it is trying to connect then says disconnected. Any ideas would be helpful.

Never having used a vpn and unfamiliar with Outlook I can only guess.

 

Are you using wireless at home.

 

I suspect a wrong setting in Outlook but not sure which one. Have you asked your IT department?

Hi, if no specific IT department at your work, who does look after the network there and its settings? Worth asking them first if there is anything has been set to block the connection before looking at your home set up.
