Guest Peter M Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 Trying to reinstall WXP from my Dell system CD. I changed setup so that am botting from the CD. Things go OK but then get error message that some files are missing, and can't get past that point. Amy suggestions? Thanx --

Failure to install an operating system is usually caused by: 1. Bad install disk (test on another computer); or 2. Bad optical drive; or 3. Bad hard drive; or 4. Bad RAM; or 5. Other failing hardware components; or 6. Combination of some of the above. Since you didn't give any information about your system, the exact error message, and why you needed to reinstall, that's as specific as I can get.
