Start Button not showing recently used programs

When I press start button , i never show any programs in list. I have gone

ito properties and checked all settings. What am I missing?

Right-click the Start button and select Properties. In the Start Menu tab,

click Customize. On the General tab

 

Make sure that under Programs the "Number of programs on Start menu" is not

set to 0.

Also try clearing the list in the registry once, by pressing Clear List

button.

 

If that does not work. Go to your registry and navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

 

Disable the two policies namely NoInstrumentation and

NoStartMenuMFUprogramsList if present.

Edit Menu > Modify > On Edit DWORD Value box enter 0 on Value data: box. A

value of 1 is enabled, and a value of 0 is disabled.

You may need to restart.
