Guest Ashutosh Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Hi, Windows always assume c:\ as a music folder and it enables Artist/Album Title etc columns for view. how do I reset it? The option to customize this folder doesn't show up in the properties dialog box as its a system root. Regards, Ashutosh

From MVP Ramesh: Try resetting the folder settings: Click Start, Run and type C:\ Click Tools, Folder Options In the View tab, click "Reset all folders" Click OK. Guest alpweb Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Re: c:\ recognized as music folder first of all check you c drive is not infected by virus. i think it has a autorun.inf file in a root folder or some kind of audio/video file. i am not sure about the solution. from tools menu , folder option, views - unhide all file and untick the hide file for known types and protected file. now check for suspious file. it might help.
