RE: restore issues

What software was used to perform the backup, did you do a full backup or

something else? is this the exact wording of the error, if not please give

the exact wording of the error.

RE: restore issues

ok, thanks.

it appears you have a CRC error or possibly a bad sector on your HD.

I personally wouldn't use XP's built in backup software, I use a third party

(Acronis True Image) are you attempting to restoring a file or multiple

files? of personal data or windows system stuff?

Please state the reason you attempted a restore.

RE: restore issues

I strongly urge you to get better backup software, ie Acronis True Image.

I couldn't begin to know why your getting errors, could be a host of things,

so get better software soon, you will need a 2nd hd internal or external is

up to you

I use an external USB/SATA drive and create a clone of my system drive, I

also have seperate files backups on CD/DVD, just in case.
