MODI file associations reset after windows updates

After I install Windows monthly updates, the file associations for TIFF is

reset from Microsoft Document Imaging (MODI) application to the Windows

Picture and Fax viewer. In an office of 100 people without permissions to

change associations, the manual fix of clicking on the reset button within

MODI is not acceptable. Is there a fix for this ? I've been finding posts

from people that are having the same problem. Has Microsoft released any

information on this issue ?

Thanks

Nick

Have you determined which update is responsible for the behavior?

Re: MODI file associations reset after windows updates

No. It happens every month. It's not limited to a single update.

If it happens every month, how do you fix it every month?

Have you opened a support incident yet?
