Guest Janus Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 I have Windows XP Sp2. I have had this HP computer since new with Windows XP installed. Under my local disk (C:) in the WINDOWS>1386>Compdata file I have more than 100 approx. 1kb folders with a text telling me that; " The currently installed driver for the xxxxx is not compatible with this version of Microsoft Windows.......etc. It is recommended that you uninstall this software before continuing.......etc" The text although similar varies in these folders basically indicating that the driver it refers to is incompatible. As far as I can see I don't have the drivers in my computer and have never had them. I certainly did not install them. Would it be safe to delete them or is it better to just leave them alone?
