Guest Dreamchaser Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Dear all, I noticed that I have a hidden folder on my Desktop with the name "%USERPROFILE%" The contents in the folder have the following path C:\Documents and Settings\Julian\Desktop\%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings \Application Data\Microsoft\Feeds Cache Now, is it ok for me to delete it without causing problems to my system? Thank you.

Thank you. If you see percentage signs surrounding the UserProfile string then you're probably dealing with the residue of a process gone wrong. You can safely do this: 1. Rename C:\Documents and Settings\Julian\Desktop\%USERPROFILE% to C:\Documents and Settings\Julian\Desktop\%USERPROFILE%.bad 2. Wait a week. 3. If all is well, delete the folder.
