Hi and welcome to ExTS

As you have re-installed I assume that you have no data that you wish to retreive ?

Try taking the RAM out.

Clean the contacts with a pencil eraser and put just one module back in.

Try booting with this.

If no go - swap the modules over and try booting with just the other one.

Further to what Ken has advised, I would disable the auto restart.

This should give you an error code on next startup.

This code should help us determine where to issue is.

How to.

When your computer starts its next reboot (black screen), just hit F8 on your keyboard a lot of times till you get the Advanced Boot Options screen.

Now, with your arrow keys, select Disable automatic restart on system failure and press Enter.

Confidence, is the feeling I get, moments before I stuff something up.

thanks for the replies...

i tried taking the ram out a only using one, this didnt work, also there is no data i wish to retreive from my hard drive so i formatted it.

when i press F8 on the keyboard, it asks me to select my boot device, so i select my main hardrive, it then lists how much memory i have and what pci devices there are for 8 seconds. then it goes to windows error Recovery options being

safe mode

safe mode with networking

safe mode with command prompt

last known good configuration

and start windows normally

none of these work as the problem continues

Hi,

This is a full installation version of Win7 Pro or an upgrade ?

Have you had it working before on this system ?

Is it a legal version or a downloaded copy ?

Reading back in #4 you said you reformatted. You don't select to boot from Hard Drive.

It has to boot from CD to install windows.

I take it you have 2 Hard Drives. If that's the case disconnect the Hard Drive that hasn't the Operating system on.

Try to Boot.

If it won't boot into Windows, then you better get the install Disc checked.

With respect this is showing all the signs of a Windows Copy.
