Lynbr Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 This has been happening more and more frequently! After installing 'Important' Windows Vista Premium Home updates, and "Restarting" laptop, the hard drive will not re-boot! I have to go to either F2 (set up), F8 (safe mode) or F12 (re-boot) to order the laptop to reboot. The problem is that it can take anywhere from 20 to 40 tries to get it to work! This only happens AFTER a Windows Update! What's the problem and how do I fix it??!?!?!?!?! Quote
Wolf Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 It sounds like your hard drive is heading down the toilet Lyn When you do manage to boot it again so that's it's running ok run a disk check on it. This link is for XP but the same applies to Vista. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315265 Quote
