Re: Del XP Option / Dell with Ubuntu 7.10

Or run it in a virtual machine. With Ubuntu it is a little easier to set up

using VMWare but there is info on the web on how to do it in VPC too.

I seriously doubt Intel is is "in cahoots" with Microsoft on this one.

The New York Times published a piece last week say they have declined

converting from Windows XP to Vista for their many thousands of PC's.

They are only allowing a select few employees try Vista.

I can think of a number of things that are worse than Vista:

1. Poke with a sharp stick,

2. A kiss from a great aunt,

3. A falafal that's gone bad.

Here's a link to Dell clearly stating that

you can still ( for a small fee) get a computer outfitted with Windows

XP

Note that the consumer must purchase Vista Business or Ultimate and allow

Dell to exercise their downgrade right to XP Professional. Those wanting the

multimedia functionalities have only the more expensive Ultimate to select,

they cannot use this program with Home Basic or Premium.

They said all of that about your family. This why you don't know who you

are male, female, cat or dog.

Well a woman can't be a man. It's a man's world, and you just live in it.

MOst people just want a nice, stable OS;

that Vista

apparantly does not provide.

The XP Downgrade expense will seem well worth it if you look at this
