If the vertical bar to the left of the address text input box is not present,

right click on an empty area on the toolbar and uncheck "Lock the toolbars".

Place your pointer at the left side of the address text input box on the

vertical bar so it becomes a double pointer.

Press/hold down the left mouse button and it will change to another style of

double pointer.

Drag the address bar to where you want it and release the mouse button.

If you have more than one toolbar on the same line, you may need to adjust the

length of the toolbar(s) or move one or more to another position via the

toolbars vertical bar.

You might want to know that when you install SP3, no more address bar.

Sorry, I think you're a bit confused. I can get to your question after

I go over some basics first to help you get faster answers in the

future.

First off, there is no such thing as Windows Office. The manufacturer

of this software is Micro$oft, and you actually named two completely

different products of MS as if they were one. To clarify, MS Office is

an application suite that includes programs like Word, Excel and Outlook

amongst a slew of others. There are different packages of MS Office,

including different years. One common misconception came out when MS

produced MS Office XP (basically MS Office 2002), and people got that

confused with the new Operating System Windows XP (Home & Professional).

To further confuse people, there's a version of MS Office called MS

Office Professional Edition. Nevertheless, Micro$oft Office is not to

be confused with Microsoft Windows.

MS Windows refers to your operating system, which does NOT include ANY

package of MS Office unless bundled with a retail computer company such

as Dell or HP. Your operating system is basically the software backbone

of your computer, and includes basic applications such as Internet

Explorer, which brings us to your question.

In which program are you having issues with your address bar? Internet

Explorer? Or is this address bar located within' some other sort of

program/toolbar? Are you sure it's an address bar, as in one that you

can type a website into?

Although that's true, by default, it's easy to get it back. Here's one

way:

http://www.niversoft.com/downloads/xp-sp3-addressbar.zip

There's no installer, but there are instruction on a txt file in the

zip archive.

Let me educate you. Assuming you don't have SP3, right click on your

task bar/Tool bars and voila!, you'll see "Address". The OP is referring

to that address bar.
