Perhaps you could expand on what you are worried about. Malke -- MS-MVP Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic! FAQ - http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/#FAQ
Guest Fred Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 Re: During the SP3 Upgrade Malke I have IE7 installed now and I know I must remove it before SP3 otherwise I can't remove later. I'm not sure about OLE6. Should I also remove it before SP3. Should I also remove it before SP3. If you like IE7 and know you're going to keep it then you don't need to bother uninstalling it. If you want to have the option of removing it in the future, yes you should uninstall it before installing SP3. OE6 remains the same after SP3 and in any case you can't uninstall it anyway. All you can do is hide shortcut icons to it. Malke -- MS-MVP Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic! FAQ - http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/#FAQ

That depends upon how much of the version number is considered. IE6 does change to report its being at the Service Pack 3 level. There are also build number changes. What this might change is not clear. I haven't cross-checked Outlook Express yet. William
