Guest Jack Gillis Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 Win XP Home SP3 In Documents and Settings under Application Data and Local Settings, I have about two dozen different Identities. Some show a modification date back to 2004. The ones in Local Setting have only a Microsoft folder. The ones in Application Data show as empty folders Do I need to have all these things? If not, how do I determine which I can delete? Thank you very much.

When all of that information has been collected go to File | Manage Identities and remove the ones you don't use. Now use Windows Explorer to delete the folders for the identities you don't use. -- Frank Saunders MS-MVP IE,OE/WM Do not reply with email
Guest Jack Gillis Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Re: A Lot fo Indetities Thank you, Frank. I don't think I made myself clear. I was not talking about OE identities but those that are named with a long string of numbers in the two folders I mentioned under documents and settings such as {4D5A580C on and on} Thanks again.
