Guest Steve Snyder Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 W2K3 R2, IE6SP2 - article 840378 describes the issue perfectly, except for the file dates & versions are newer than those listed for the hotfix. Basically, using roaming mandatory profiles with GPO to set the proxy settings and homepage URL - user logs off and three folders remian behind contaiing an index.dat file. Every time the user logs on a new profile folder is created - username.domainname.XXX. thanks.

Guest Steve Snyder Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Re: Roaming Profiles not unloading Yep, UPHC 1.6.30 is installed. Does anyone know if this behavior also occurs with IE7? I haven't tried IE7 yet as I've read that it doesn't respond so well to the IE GPO settings for proxy settings, etc. "Hank Arnold (MVP)" wrote: > Steve Snyder wrote: > > W2K3 R2, IE6SP2 - article 840378 describes the issue perfectly, except for > > the file dates & versions are newer than those listed for the hotfix. > > > > Basically, using roaming mandatory profiles with GPO to set the proxy > > settings and homepage URL - user logs off and three folders remian behind > > contaiing an index.dat file.
