Guest Inker Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 I am having a problem with my mouse locking up.I downloaded sp3 and that was a disaster. Couldn't get past the blue screen so I called a guy who got me back to windows. Prior to d/l sp3, I d/l .Net framework 2.0 because the manufactuer of the game I was playing said that could be the problem. That just caused a loop to start that I had to keep canceling until it stopped. I removed that and the loop stopped but my mouse still freezes. I tried putting in the driver resource cd to see if I could get a diagnogstic. That came back with Batch File F:/ MSDOS batch missing. (not sure of exact message). Any suggestions on how to remedy this problem? If I decide to try reinstalling windows (Windows XP Media Edition SP2) is there a web site to tell me step by step?

Try lowering graphics hardware acceleration slide. You can lower graphics hardware acceleration in Display Properties, Settings tab, Advanced button, Troubleshooting tab. If this helps, you probably need a different graphics card or drivers. -- Joe =o)
