Problem uninstalling program

A few days ago, a relative installed this program from the Weather Channel

that was described as "Get storm alerts and The Weather Channel local

forecasts free on your desktop."

http://www.weather.com/services/downloads/index.html?from=hp_tools

If that doesn't work for some reason, go to http://www.weather.com and click

the link on the right side of the screen described as "Get storm alerts and

The Weather Channel local forecasts free on your desktop."

He didn't like it, so he uninstalled it. Now the program folder is still in

C:\Program Files though it's empty and he gets this error message at startup.

Anyone know how to get rid of it?

Re: Problem uninstalling program

Just right click and delete the folder. There is an entry in one of the

startup points (either a run key in the registry or a shortcut in the

Startup folder on the Start menu) that is causing the error notice at boot.

He can either locate the entry (probably in the registry) and delete it or

he can run msconfig from Run on the Start menu. Once the utility runs,

click the startup tab and locate the entry. Remove the mark from in front

of the entry or he can use entry to locate where the program is being

started from. If he removes the mark (easy way), a screen will appear when

he reboots. Mark the box and tell it OK.
