GoodMorning Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 I have noticed that my laptops wireless speed is literally rubbish. My roommate uses a Macbook Pro and his download speeds reached 330kb/s while mine were barely hitting 6kb/s. These wide spans in connection speeds have been going since I bought my laptop about 5 months ago. My values are normal and as follow: 802.11b Preamble - Long and Short AdHoc 11n - Disabled Network Address - Not Present Receive Buffers - 256 Scan Valid Interval - 60 Transmit Buffers - 512 Wep TKIP11n - Enabled Wireless Mode Selection - Auto IPv4 Connectivity : Internet IPv6 Connectivity : No Internet Access My driver is 8.0.0316 Quote
pho6 Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 I have the exact same problem with my asus G53JW using an Atheros AR9285. Incredibly slow wifi. would be great if someone can post a solution. I've tried installing drivers from the asus website and the atheros website... still slow as ever. Quote
KenB Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Hi pho6 and welcome to ExTS It would be better if you start your own thread - at least any answers you do get will be directed towards your specific problem :) Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!
