Hi all

I recently built a whole new system

here is the hardware and specs

AMD phenom x6 1100T Black Edition

Asus M4A88TD-M EVO

Hd Radeon 5850

4gb Ddr3 Ram

Atx 700w 700UB

Cm Storm Tower Case

when i turn it on the fans spin up like crazy. but nothing displays.

after turing on and off lots of times it works. and works fine without any errors at all

even under heavy load! it just seems to be a problem with boot. if anyone can help me out it i would be very greatfull.

Notes: sometimes it displays core unlocker not compatable when it finnaly comes on

Or Power surges detected was unable to boot last time < Ive tryed disabaling surge protection aswell.

Thanks. Darrkang3l.

Hello and welcome.....

I belive this error is due to a wrong setting in BIOS.....Or incompatability....

Did you build this computer yourself?

Could you enter BIOS and check what is set for "CPU Core Control please?

Restting BIOS to default may resolve the issue.

Hi,

I have recently seen a similar problem which turned out to be the start up load being too much for the power supply they had fitted, thus making the BIOS not detect certain things as the voltage dipped below critical levels.

Although yours by what you quote is a 700 Watt supply, and in theory should be OK, it just may be a either a faulty unit to start off with or just not quite big enough. You don't say how many fans are fitted, if a few, the start up load of them could be the cause.

Nev.

Hi,

You can try booting the computer into safe mode and check if you are able to boot, here are the steps:

1. Restart your computer if it is powered on.

2. Tap the F8 key after your computer initially powers on.

3. Once you see the Advanced Boot Options menu you can stop tapping.

4. Use the up/down arrow keys to highlight your selection.

5. Select Safe Mode and press Enter.

6. You should see drivers loading, and then please wait.

7. You should then be at the Welcome Screen.

8. Log on to your computer using an account with Administrator privileges.
